I am currently working through Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit. Science-religion debate not purely a question of philosophical categories and possibilities, but of existential and empirical phenomenology of spirit-matter interaction. Heidegger - Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit. Disappears in the bursting-forth blossom False manifestation, the fruit now emerges as truth. As I do so, I intend to share thoughts, ideas, questions, general responses/ramblings etc. The progressive unfolding of truth: The bud. It's well worth a look, given the infelicities of the Miller, if only for a different perspective. Found Poem: From Hegel's 'Phenomenology of Spirit'. The traditional interpretation is that the body is absent from Hegel's philosophy and especially from the Phenomenology. However, Hegel chooses to take two different approaches: one phenomenological way in The Phenomenology of Spirit, and one purely logical-systematic way in The Science of Logic. Here's a link to Terry Pinkard's (he of the rather fine Hegel biography) translation of the Phenomenology of Spirit. The Phenomenology of Spirit is the attempt to salvage the insights of the early program without its metaphysics.
